Carolyn Smee, Tim Partridge and Pierre Le Chat
Mod, Soul, Disco, Dance Floor Classics
Carolyn Smee is an international music industry trouper. Whether touring the world in her role as Tour & Production Coordinator, being onsite accountable for the logistics and travel of a touring festival, mixing tunes with playful banter on a bi-monthly radio show or launching a dance floor of happiness; she has all bases covered.
Working with labels Acid Jazz, Talkin’ Loud from their beginnings in the UK, then running both labels in Australia, attached to her longstanding background of PolyGram Australia and Phonogram UK, there’s a knowledge of the mainstream through to the obscure in all musical genres that’s appreciated and respected.
Not shy of a mic or a dance floor, you’ll often find Carolyn with her hands in the air, sliding across a wooden floor, singing along and welcoming all to enjoy positive vibes and good times.

A little bit of everything, all rolled into one.
Tim Partridge has been DJing since 1986 across various venues of the West Country and London. Since Tim’s arrival to Australia in 2013, he’s not only played at some of the most soul infused and Mod events across Australia, but has successfully set up many a monthly do, including 45 Fridays and Sundays Got Soul, right here in Sydney.
Tim was instrumental in creating and introducing Australia to the annual charity fundraising summer Boat Party, taking place on the magnificent Sydney Harbour in 2015. With the Boat Party getting ready for its 6th year, 2020 will deliver not only dancing under the Harbour Bridge of our wonderful city, but will also be attached to the Sydney Mod Weekender. A full weekend of smart dressing and the coolest 60s, RnB, Soul, Jazz, Beat, Latin and Boss Reggae.

Collar always rolled and favourite record’s the last one bought.
Pierre Le Chat
Raised on Jazz & Beatles on vinyl, Pierre has always had a penchant for vintage sounds, particularly 60s music. Eventually building a record collection of his own and getting mentored musically by Mod elders at the old Sydney City Scooter Club, Stark Raving Mod! and the monthly Take It Or Leave It (TIOLI) nights in Newtown, he finally got his first vinyl-only gig at the launch of a new monthly night called Rat Race after TIOLI ended. He’s since then played for Delirium, Fred Perry Northern Soul Line Launch Party, Modtoberfest, All Or Nothing, Soulsville Soul Club, Sydney Soul Weekender, Sundays Got Soul, The Ozskas, Uptown Top Ranking, 45 Fridays, Flesh Of My Flesh (Japan), Canberra Mod & Soul Weekender, The Selecter After-Party (Sydney), Chewing Gum Weekend (Philippines), Roots’n’Toots, One Step Beyond All-Dayer, The Selecter After-Party (México), Reggae Sundays, Mixbag Sessions, Aqui Vienen Las Chicas Vol. 1 (México), Departure Lounge at 2Ser, Monkey Spanner and many others.
Extremely shy by nature, expect his 45s to do all the talking at one of his DJ sets!
