Pete Heller & Terry Farley
Fire Island: Music is Music Show
House, Dance, Garage, Soul, Deep House
Pete Heller met Terry Farley at Danny and Jenni Ramplings iconic Acid House party Shoom in the summer of 1988. Pete was playing a guitar over Danny’s Balearic Grooves as well as doing warm up duties on the decks while Terry was dancing like a lunatic in the cherry flavoured smoke that filled the basement club.
Pete and Terry joined up alongside Andrew Weatherall to form Bocca Juniors and released music on Boys Own, a spin off label of Pete Tong’s FFRR.
Over the next decade the chaps remixed just about everyone from New Order to Robert Owens, Michael Jackson to U2, Kylie to Frankie Knuckles, as well as having UK hits with a collaboration with Disco legend Loleatta Holloway and their own iconic ‘Ultra flava’.
The duo make music under the monika’s of Fire Island and Roach Motel and have travelled the globe laying down their unique brand of Banji New York meets sleazy London beats.
