Kick off your Saturday evening warm up preparations with this Northern lad playing a broad selection of all kinds of soul, funk, old school hip hop, dj edits/bootlegs and the occasional reggae/ska or left field track. Enjoy a mixture of old and new tracks, primarily on vinyl as a preference, occasionally on CD and on rare necessity, digital.

Having grown a love of music of black origin since the late 1970’s, early 1980’s, Steadyaway has an extensive vinyl collection and came back to playing for audiences in the early 2020’s. He’s a resident DJ at The Empire Middlesbrough ‘Soul Sounds’, established ‘Bongo Soul Selectors’ in 2024, and has regular appearances playing selections at other related events. TWR’s very own DJ Richio Suzuki (Mellow Mellow), is a good friend and was Steadyaway’s best man back in 1986!
