Spent my entire life obsessing about music, submersed in it.

From buying classic soul and funk records as a teenager, to running club nights in London featuring legendary New York house and disco DJs. It’s been a constant in my life, and there aren’t many moments in the day when I’m not thinking about, listening to, or reading about music.

For decades I would have called myself a soul boy from Essex in the UK. Moving through the scenes as the music has changed over time. But in recent years I’ve disappeared down a jazz wormhole, and I can’t climb out. Not only is there so much older music to discover and learn about, there is an incredible amount of new jazz that might not get the exposure it deserves.

So I now host a monthly jazz radio show, taking listeners from the late ’50s through the years to right now. Putting as much emphasis on the new as the old. There’s a lot to be excited about!
