Rocco Pandiani & Vanja Favetta
Monthly, Sunday 11am-1pm
Jazz, Jazz History, Funk – Soul – Jazz, Swing Jazz, Latin Jazz
By listening to “The Right Tempo” you will hear different sounding examples of the Afro-American music called jazz. From swing to bebop, from hard-bop to soul, from latin to African and from avant-garde to spiritual. The Right Tempo is concerned in letting you hear, not in a music lesson way, something about what jazz sounds like and why it sounds that way; and about some of the many artists that have played it and that play it today.
Different eras and different styles can appear very unalike. But in many ways they are very similar. For one thing, they all are blues influenced. Secondly, they express a feeling of sadness in some examples and happiness in others.
One of the most important things jazz music is concerned with is the way people feel about things… their emotions.
“The Right Tempo” is just a matter of people expressing their feelings, their thoughts, their ideas about life, and doing it through their music.
“The Right Tempo” is in collaboration with NovaraJazz organization.
