Soulside began with Tim spinning retro sounds at live gigs, Northern Soul stompers, rare funk grooves, deep jazz cuts, plus splashes of reggae and blues. Those sets built the foundations of the show, rooted in crate-digging and the joy of sharing records that move both the feet and the heart.

Over time, the sound has grown to include the new: fresh releases, pre-releases and modern twists from nu-soul, R&B, disco, acid jazz, rare grooves and more. Each episode blends these two traditions, the heritage of the past with the excitement of the present, to create a soulful journey around the world, full of surprises and plenty of groove.

It’s music on the Soulside, not just soul music.
