Sharna is a mixed genre lover with a soft spot for downtempo electronica and alt-RnB. She got her start in radio with Celestial Sounds on Brighton’s 1BTN, where she began championing underrepresented South Asian artists and local talent. This commitment led her to Slack City Radio, where playing mixed-genre South Asian music became her central mission.

Having grown up immersed in 90s RnB and soul, Sharna now hosts the Next Wave show, scouting the globe to discover how these genres have evolved into the present day. Tune in for new releases from genre-blending artists predominantly across alt-RnB and neo-soul – with occasional finds in lofi jazz, electronica, and dream pop.
